In 2025, AfricaNenda advanced inclusive instant payments across the continent through seven IIPS projects in Cabo Verde, Guinea, Liberia, Mauritania, Rwanda, South Sudan, and CEMAC, alongside two major IPS launches in Rwanda and Liberia. 

Building on the successful executions we solidified in 2025, we look forward to bringing several new IPS projects to launch, while helping others evolve their systems with additional features, functionality, and integration capabilities. With our technical support, efforts to mobilize catalytic funding, advocacy initiatives, and capacity building, we will continue to accelerate IIPS development and evolution.

2024 marked a pivotal moment for AfricaNenda as we transitioned into an independent organization, solidifying our role as a key enabler of financial inclusion across the continent. Our mission to accelerate the growth of instant and inclusive payment systems in Africa has never been more critical. Despite significant progress in digital financial services, approximately 400 million Africans remain excluded from formal financial systems, underscoring the urgency of our work.

2023 has been a pivotal year for AfricaNenda. Since its launch, we have emerged as a crucial force in promoting financial inclusion across Africa, driving the adoption of inclusive, instant payment systems to empower over 400 million unbanked adults on the continent.

2022 has been a landmark year for AfricaNenda. Launched in 2021, AfricaNenda has already shown that it has what it takes to become a key player in the African landscape for advancing financial inclusion.
