About SIIPS
Join us in Ezulwini, Eswatini, from 12–14 November 2025, for a landmark event as we unveil the State of Inclusive Instant Payment Systems (SIIPS) in Africa Report 2025. Building on the success of the 2023 and 2024 editions, AfricaNenda, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), and the World Bank are proud to present this highly anticipated fourth edition.
Hosted in collaboration with the Central Bank of Eswatini, and under
the esteemed patronage of the Honourable Governor of the Central Bank of
Eswatini, the SIIPS 2025 launch will bring together more than 130
high-level delegates from across the continent. Over three days,
participants will engage in insightful policy dialogues, hands-on
technical sessions, and strategic networking opportunities to accelerate
the scale-up of Inclusive Instant Payment Systems (IIPS) across Africa.
The SIIPS 2025 Report provides a comprehensive overview of Africa’s progress in advancing Inclusive Instant Payment Systems (IIPS)—critical infrastructure for driving financial inclusion and economic growth. Through consumer research conducted in four countries and four new in-depth case studies, the report explores emerging trends, key challenges, and the transformative potential of IIPS to connect people and businesses across the continent.
This year’s launch event goes beyond unveiling the findings—it is a platform for knowledge exchange, capacity building, and collaboration. By showcasing successful implementation models, innovative technologies, and inclusive policy approaches, SIIPS 2025 will highlight the collective efforts needed to build an Africa where digital payments are truly inclusive, instant, and interoperable
