The updated DPI Roadmap Playbook is designed to guide countries in developing and implementing digital public infrastructure (DPI) through the creation of national DPI roadmaps. It provides key insights, practical tips, takeaways, and resources to support this process.

Throughout the Playbook, you’ll find examples from countries at different stages of their DPI journey, including India, the UK, South Africa, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Rwanda. A beta version was first launched in June 2025 during events associated with South Africa’s G20 Presidency.

This refreshed edition builds on that foundation, incorporating lessons learned, adding new country examples, and offering deeper insights into the roadmap process based on recent experiences.
