Ms. Lucy Charles-Shaidi is a Director of National Payment Systems, at the Bank of Tanzania. She has over a decade worth of experience as a Central Banker and over 23 years of experience in the areas of Operations, Payment Systems policy and strategy, Information Communication Technology, Project Management, and Financial Inclusion Strategies. She assumes different leadership roles in development of payment system strategy and modernization of Payment Systems in Tanzania. She is also an advocate for Financial Inclusion for Women and Empowerment.

Ms. Shaidi holds a Master of Business in International Business from Melbourne University in Australia, and a Bachelor of science in Computer Science in USA. She has attended several executive development programs including the Fletcher Fellowship program in Financial Inclusion, USA.
