Carlos Brandt works for the Central Bank of Brazil as the head of Management and Operation for Pix, Brazil's Instant Payment System. He graduated in engineering and law, specialized in finance and law, and led the design and implementation process for Pix, which successfully launched in 2020. He currently leads and drives Pix's evolving agenda with new features and products. He also coordinates the Pix Forum, a permanent advisory committee for new products and the improvement of existing ones. In 2021 Carlos was nominated for the Bloomberg 50 list – recognizing people and ideas that defined global business in 2021 – which is acknowledgement of the remarkable achievements of Pix for the entire Central Bank of Brazil team.
