Learning, Innovation, and Inclusion: Highlights from the Nigeria Peer Visit

Nigeria has emerged as a leader in inclusive payment solutions with its Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Instant Payment (NIP). From June 16th to 20th, 2025, AfricaNenda Foundation and NIBSS hosted a peer learning visit in Lagos, welcoming delegates from several financial institutions from Eswatini, Guinea, Liberia, Madagascar, Somalia, South Sudan, Togo, and the CEMAC region.

Unlocking opportunities for Entrepreneurs in Rwanda

Part of AfricaNenda’s mission is to promote the digital economy through job creation for young women and youth. In Dec 2021, AfricaNenda supported the Ministry of ICT in Rwanda to organize the inaugural Hanga Pitch Fest competition that promotes the widespread use of technology and innovation across all sectors.

AfricaNenda has officially launched!

On 7 October 2021, along with leaders in telecommunications, financial technology, development, and the regional and international banking ecosystem, AfricaNenda announced its launch as a new, Africa-led organisation aimed at accelerating instant and inclusive payment systems, through partnerships with African governments, regional economic communities and private sector associations.
